Hand knitting is a laborious, obsessive activity rather like painting; the same movements are repeated endlessly to build up pattern and texture. These knitted paintings are labour intensive, often taking one to three months of solid hand knitting to complete. They are stretched on board and hung like a painting, they are tactile and inviting but also visually disturbing offering a reflection of how I view the world in a short-sighted, dyslexic, dancing blur.
